This Saturday, December 20th is shaping up to be an absolute treat for football fans. We get three College Football Playoff games plus a couple of NFL games sprinkled in as an early Christmas gift. Let’s dive into the CFP slate and where I’m putting my money.

Miami vs. Texas A&M

Texas A&M -3.5 | Total: 51.5

Miami (10-2) heads to College Station to take on Texas A&M (11-1) in what I believe will be the best game in the first round of the CFP. Miami comes in playing their best football of the season and, frankly, they’re playing with house money. Not many people expected them to make the playoff, but they absolutely deserve to be here, and I expect them to play like they’ve got something to prove.

From a matchup standpoint, these teams are very similar. Both have solid offenses, both can play defense, and both have big-play athletes all over the field. When things are this even, I usually lean on coaching and home field advantage, and that’s where A&M gets the edge.

I expect a competitive first half before the Aggies take control after the break. There should be plenty of fireworks as well, so don’t be surprised if the Over hits.

James Madison +21.5
